WISDOM
offering a weekly positive perspective

At
the moment we begin to believe, we begin to achieve.
- Jeffrey Hansler (1957 - )
Belief
is something more than thought: it is a taste of a future time, a
passion for possibilities,
and a hand on hope of a created change. When developing
and delivering programs,
it is my one resounding desire, that during some
portion of the program, everyone in the
audience will gain at least one moment of belief. My responsibility
is to do everything I can to
bring that possibility to reality. The speaking is not important, the
training is not important, the
performance is not important, except as vehicles to provide an opportunity
for someone to
find a belief that will serve them long after the program has been
forgotten. The power of
belief is phenomenal.
The
picture included is not a really an "attractive" picture. I'm
the one in the air hoisted by his
shorts. What is good about the picture is we did win the "line
out" (Rugby term for gaining
possession of the ball). I picked this picture, because I am lucky to be
on a team with an
amazing group of men (I've been playing a month). They come together
to
accomplish victory - something they believe in - and often it is the sheer
act of belief that brings
victory. In this particular game, we began the second half down three
tries (17 points) and came
back to win by stopping the opposing team an arms length away from a
try (I was not on the field
at the time, in case you were wondering). It is an honor to be on the team
with them.
The
power of their belief is contagious....and your beliefs will serve
not only you, they will serve
those you come in contact with.
